Recent Investments

French retail company Decathlon is to set up its first European distribution centre at the Zone of Logistic Activities (ZAL), at the Port of Barcelona. The new facilities will create 200 news jobs, to increase to 400 at a later date. The company will have 48,000 square meters of warehouse space, to be completed by 2008, with an investment of 28 million euros. From ZAL Prat, Decathlon is to distribute its products to its 15 regional centres and 320 stores worldwide.

Barcelona is the sixth European city to have a Decathlon distribution centre, right after Antwerp, Lille, Paris, Lyon and Marseille
