Recent Investments
Nissan plans to invest 400 million euros in the Zona Franca from 2008 to 2010.A new van to be launched in 2009 will represent half of the announced total investment of Nissan's plant in Barcelona: 400 million euros until 2010. Other investments will be assigned to infrastructures, to integrate more suppliers in the brand, and to increase the number of units produced in the plant to 216,000 in 2010.
The plan also includes the promotion of R+D activities in Barcelona and the consolidation of the staff related with engineering and design processes.
