Japanese multinational company Yamaha has announced that it is to produce a new model at its Palau de Plegamans plant, expected to hit the market later this year.

Yamaha Spain's president, Jorge Lasheras, did not offer details of the new model, but he indicated that it will be a motorcycle and not a scooter. Yamaha "is already working on the new models to be launched in 2011," Lasheras said. The Palau de Plegamans plant is Yamaha's most important facility in Spain and it exports around 75% of its production.
