Inibsa to expand its facilities to produce for the Chinese market

Catalan pharmaceutical company Inibsa, which specializes in the production of dental anesthetic products, will invest 4 million euros to expand its Lliçà de Vall (Barcelona) plant to increase production to 160 million units. Inibsa has just signed contracts with two Chinese laboratories to increase its presence in the Asian country.

The Catalan company currently sells about 10 million units a year of anesthetic products for dental use. Inibsa is the world's fifth producer of anesthetic products, with about 70 million doses per year. The company, which has a workforce of 306 employees in Spain, also plans to build a plant of anesthetics in China through an alliance with the French lab Acteon and the China National Corporation of Medicine (CNCP).
