Menarini Lab company concentrates ovarian cancer research activity in BarcelonaItalian pharmaceutical company Menarini has concentrated its ovarian cancer research activities at its R&D center in Badalona (Catalonia).
Menarini is a world leader in developing vaccines for the treatment of ovarian cancer. Menarini, which has planned an investment of 300 million euros over the next nine years, will also invest 2.5 million euros to improve the Badalona facilities and to increase the number of researchers. The Catalan plant has 12,000 square meters and produces about 30 million units each year.
The R&D center also conducts joint research with experts from Menarini's Italian and German operations to work on new drugs: one of its most promising research project is a new drug to treat irritable bowel syndrome.
