Recent Investments

The Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) plans to invest 2.5 million euros to refurbish an old factory belonging to Macson in Barcelona's Gracia district. The plant offers some 4,600 square meters of surface and will represent a significant addition to IED activities in the Catalan capital, allowing it to increase services and academic programs, Barcelona's IED director Alessandro Manetti said.

For the 2008-2009 course the IED is expected to have access to about 1,900 square meters of the new facilities. Last year the IED had about 1,000 students, 60% of them from foreign countries.
