Relevant Events

Barcelona has become the European Capital of applied chemistry thanks to a new edition of Expoquimia 2008, the sector's leading meeting. This year the event gathered more than 1,000 exhibitors, with representatives from about 3,500 companies. Highlights of this year's edition include a debate to discuss biofuels' impact on the environment and the first symposium on chemistry and sensorial tests to determine the effects of odor, color or taste in consumer products. This edition also saw the inauguration of a new space, Lab & Bio, a forum of over 7,500 square meters dedicated to biotechnology and its companies.
