Recent Investments

Himel, a unit of French group Schneider Electric, has invested 8 million euros to expand its factory in Capellades (Anoia). The new facilities will be fully operational by the first half of 2009. The company has received the support of the Catalan Investment Agency (ACI), an entity depending on the Catalan government.

Himel specializes in enclosures for electrical protection and industrial control. The Spanish unit has 600 employees at its two plants in Catalonia, in Capellades and Molins de Rei. Himel posted revenue of 135 million euros in Spain last year.
