Recent Investments

Catalan fashion group Mango has invested 45 million euros in the opening of a new logistics platform in Parets del Vallès (Barcelona). The facilities, located in the Can Volart area, are to distribute about 80% of all clothing items delivered to Mango's global store network. The 24,000 square meter platform will enable the management of some 30,000 items per hour.

The opening of the logistics platform in Parets will allow Mango to close its warehouse facilities in New Jersey (U.S.), ending both the reorganization of its distribution centers and a cost-cutting program. The company, however, is to maintain its two China platforms as most of Mango's clothing items are produced in Asia. In 2008, the fashion group posted revenue of 1,1 billion euros.
