Barcelona's airport named best cargo airport – Air Cargo NewsBarcelona's El Prat Airport has been named best cargo airport for services of more than 100,000 tons by trade publication Air Cargo News. The award was announced in London this week during the "Cargo Airline of the Year" gala, the industry's most important event.
El Prat succeeds Munich, last year's winner, as the best cargo airport for services between 100,000 and 500,000 tonnes. Air Cargo News, a leading global cargo industry publication, receives over 16,000 hits per month on its website. The group also organizes the World Cargo Conference, now in its ninth edition, and to be held in Barcelona next October.
