Catalonia on The Nikkei Weekly
The Nikkei Weekly is the most influential economic newspaper in Japan. Annually, and since 1988, this newspaper publishes an article on Catalonia. This year, the article focused on the recently economic and cultural activities developed in Catalonia.
Invest in Catalonia, the area of ACC1Ó, which promotes international investments in Catalonia, organized the agenda of the Japanese journalist. The agenda included the visit to companies which lead their economic sectors, the visit to prominent economic and cultural institutions, and an interview with the President of the Catalan Government.
She visited companies such as AB-Biotics and Digital Legends Entertainment, which lead the new technology sector, Desigual and Muji, which lead, amongst others, the design industry in Catalonia, and other companies and institutions specialized in business promotion and international business such as Fira de Barcelona and Cavas Albet i Noya. Also, there were visited cultural and touristic institutions, which have proven key for the international promotion of Catalonia, the Gran Teatro del Liceu and the Catalan Tourist Board.
