More than 40 professionals, most of them specialised engineers, work at the centre, equipped with test labs, anechoic chambers, climated-controlled rooms, a smoke tunnel and all types of equipment, as well as with the most recent advances in communications technology.

"Investment in Barcelona relied upon financial support as well as cost effectiveness of doing development in Catalonia. Other items that played a major role were the availability of highly trained and knowledgeable engineers and supporting staff, the location and infrastructures of Barcelona (good flight connections, roads, and trains) and the support of the existing industry and services around product development."
