The Reus and Priorat Functional Nutrition Hub, strategically located in Southern Catalonia, with excellent communications and exceptional climate, is a point of reference for human and animal health and nutrition for companies from the agro-food sector in Catalonia.
Given their long tradition as a centre for agro-food production and distribution (oil, wine, and dried fruit and nuts especially), Reus and Priorat have evolved towards the design, development and production of high value-added foods with beneficial properties for consumers.
The Reus and Priorat Functional Nutrition Hub forms part of the Catalan Agro-food Ring, together with the Centre for New Food Technologies and Processes in Monells-Girona and the Lleida Agro-food Science and Technology Park. This Agro-food Ring is a tool for research, business expansion and attracting investment which aims to provide Catalonia with a network of technology centres specialising in the food value chain.
