Barcelona now ranks fourth in the top 33 cities in Europe in which to set up a business, according to the Cushman & Wakefield 2009 annual review, and is the number one southern European city, according to the 2010 study by fDi Magazine.
Thanks to the continuous process of urban and economic transformation which has taken place in recent years, Barcelona offers a wealth of business spaces with modern and efficiently sustainable infrastructures that are the result of the renovation of the city’s industrial areas.
One of the most important is the 22@ Project, which constitutes the transformation of 200 hectares of industrial land into an innovative production district for the development of knowledge-intensive activities and which focuses on five urban hubs: audiovisual, information and communication technologies (ICT), medical technologies (MedTech), energy and design.
